Casey is a self taught metalsmith based in North Carolina. The whirlwind that began in 2020 sent her back to the East Coast after nearly 10 years between Colorado, Australia, & California. The slower days of quarantine allowed for long days walking the beach in her new home on the Carolina coast. The result - many miles, dozens of audiobooks, & bags of shark teeth. The hunt continued as she searched coastlines, rivers, creeks, and other sites from NC down to FL. Determined to have more than just jars of teeth displayed in the house, she pursued metalsmithing. Through a few online courses, YouTube, a little blood, and a few burns - she's made a passion for fossils into wearable art. The aesthetic is raw & earthy with a touch of "found under the floor boards of an old house".
